Congealed Pineapple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 (6 oz.) apricot or orange jello
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 (8 oz.) frozen Cool Whip, thawed
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    Combine sugar and pineapple in saucepan.
    Bring to boil; remove from heat and add jello until dissolved.
    Cool.
    Add buttermilk.
    Stir.
    Fold in Cool Whip and pecans.
    Save a few nuts for top.
