Pecan Sandies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. water
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
    2 c. flour
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar.
    Add water and vanilla.
    Stir in flour and nuts.
    Chill 4 hours.
    Shape into balls or fingers. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325\u00b0 about 20 minutes.
    Remove from oven.
    Cool slightly.
    Roll in powdered sugar.
    Makes 3 dozen.
