Pear Honey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 pears
    5 c. sugar
    1 can crushed pineapple (202 can)
    rind of 1 lemon
    1 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. powdered ginger
Preparation
    Chop pears fine or put through grinder.
    There should be 5 cups.
    Put in large pot.
    Add rest of ingredients and bring to a boil.
    Cook over low heat 35 to 40 minutes, stirring constantly. Fruit should be clear and liquid thick.
    Pour into sterilized jars and seal by processing in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes. Makes 6 pints.
