Never Fail Coffeecake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 cake yeast
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. cold sweet milk
    3 eggs, separated
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together. Work the shortening into the dry mixture.
    Dissolve the yeast in the cup of sweet milk, then add the beaten egg yolks to the milk mixture and add to the dry ingredient mixture.
    Place in a bowl in the refrigerator overnight.
    The next morning, beat the egg whites stiff and add the sugar cinnamon to this.
    Divide the dough into 3 equal portions. Roll out 1/4-inch thick and spread 1/3 of the filling on each. Roll up jelly roll fashion.
    Place seam down on cookie sheet in the form of a crescent.
    This makes 3 crescents.
    Let stand exactly 1 hour and bake 40 minutes at 345\u00b0.
