Cherry Magic - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 (No. 2) can red sour cherries
Preparation
    Drain cherries, pour into greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Save the cherry juice.
    Cream together sugar and butter.
    Add milk, flour, baking powder and salt. Pour over cherries.
    Then sprinkle this mixture over the top:
    sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
    Take cherry juice you saved, and measure one cup (if not enough, add water to make one cup).
    Put in pan, bring to boil.
    Pour this over the top and bake one hour at 375\u00b0.
