Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 3/4 c. cake flour
1 c. raisins
1 c. currants, nutmeats or dates
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. butter or shortening
1 c. white or packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. thick, lightly sweetened applesauce
caramel icing

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
