Apple Stack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. molasses
    3 eggs
    1 c. milk
    4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. salt
    3 c. thick applesauce
Preparation
    Cream
    shortening,
    then add sugar, a little at a time, blending well.
    Add molasses and mix well.\tAdd eggs, one at a time,
    beating after each addition.
    Add milk alternately with the sifted
    dry
    ingredients.\tBeat well after each addition. Place mixture in six 9-inch greased and floured pans.
    Spread until about 3/8 inch deep.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 18 to 20 minutes. Cool and stack with applesauce.
