Raisin Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. raisins
2 c. water
1/2 c. melted butter
1 egg
2 Tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. each: nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon
2 c. sugar
4 c. sifted flour
dash of salt
1 c. cool water
1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1 tsp. hot water
Preparation

Stew raisins in 2 cups water for 15 minutes; let cool.
Cream together melted butter, egg, oil, spices, sugar, flour, salt and cool water.
Add cooled raisins and baking soda mixture.
Bake in greased 13 x 9-inch pan for approximately 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
