Gatah(Armenian Sweet Bread) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 pkg. yeast
    1 cube butter or margarine
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 c. milk (half canned milk)
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. flour
    3 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix first 4 dry ingredients.
    Heat butter, Crisco and milk until warm and add to dry ingredients.
    Blend 2 minutes on medium speed.
    Add 1/2 cup flour or enough to make thick batter.
    Add 4 eggs and beat 2 minutes longer.
    Stir in 3 more cups flour and knead by hand a few minutes.
    Let rise 2 hours.
    Roll out about 1/2 to 3/4-inch thick; cut in 2-inch pieces and brush tops with yolk of egg and 3 drops of oil.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
