Paella - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rice
    1 (3 lb.) chicken
    1 qt. water
    4 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 onion, sliced
    2 sprigs parsley
    1 1/2 tsp. olive oil
    1/4 tsp. saffron
    1 lb. shrimp
    1 c. peas
    12 clams or mussels
    1 lb. sausages
    2 cloves garlic
Preparation
    Cook chicken in water until tender with 2 teaspoons salt, the pepper, onion, parsley and celery.
    Remove from broth; take chicken off bones in large pieces.
    Strain broth and save.
    Cook rice and garlic in olive oil until straw-colored.
    Add 1 1/2 cups broth, saffron, peas, shrimp and 2 1/2 teaspoons salt together.
    Bring to a boil.
    Pour into 2-quart casserole dish; add sausages.
    Bake for 1 hour in moderate oven.
    Add clams or mussels and bake until clams open.
