Spritz - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 egg yolks, beaten
1 egg white
1 tsp. water
colored sugar or food coloring (if desired)

Preparation

Mix flour and salt.
Cream shortening until soft.
Beat in powdered sugar.
Add vanilla and egg yolks.
Gradually stir in flour mixture.
Chill.
