Christmas Morning Strata - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. Italian sausage, casing removed -chop meat
    1- 12 oz. loaf French bread (or Italian bread)
    2 - 4 oz. cans sliced mushrooms
    6 extra large eggs
    1 quart milk
    2 tsp. Italian seasoning
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Preparation
    Night before serving, grease 13 x 9 glass baking dish.
    Cook sausage meat, using slotted spoon remove sausage to paper towel to drain.
    Cut bread into 1/2 inch cubes.
    Drain and chop mushrooms. In baking dish combine meat, bread and mushrooms.
    In large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk and seasonings.
    Pour egg mixture over sausage mixture.
    Cover baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
