Homemade Mayonnaise Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    yolk of 1 egg
    1 c. olive oil
    2 to 3 tsp. lemon juice
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    pinch of dry mustard
Preparation
    Beat the yolk in a mixing bowl, adding some olive oil drop by drop. When mixture begins to thicken, alternately add a few drops of lemon juice and a few drops more of olive oil until the desired consistency is obtained. Lemon juice thins the dressing and olive oil thickens it. If more lemon juice is added, oil must also be added, as the dressing must be stiff when ready to use. Refrigerate. Use within 2 to 3 days.
