Tom Clark'S Sweet Potato Biscuits(Makes About 4 Dozen) - cooking recipe

6 to 7 medium potatoes
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
6 c. flour
5 heaping tsp. baking powder
2/3 tsp. salt
Preparation

Boil and skin the potatoes.
Place in a large bowl and mash with the sugar and Crisco. In a separate large bowl, blend together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Blend wet mixture to dry.
If too dry, add water.
Make into biscuits and place in greased foil pie tins. Cover with foil and freeze at this point or let rise for 20 minutes.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes or until slightly brown on bottom.
