Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 stick oleo, softened
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
5 eggs, separated
2 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 c. coconut
Preparation

Beat egg whites until stiff; set aside.
Cream sugar, shortening, oleo and vanilla.
Add soda to buttermilk.
Beat in flour, alternating with buttermilk.
Fold in egg whites and coconut.
Pour into 3 (9-inch) cake pans which have been greased and floured.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool and frost with Cream Cheese Frosting.
