Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 stick margarine or butter
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 c. uncooked oats
pinch of salt
Preparation

Combine sugar, margarine, milk and cocoa in medium-sized saucepan.
Heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil.
Let boil 1 to 2 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Cool for 1 minute.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper, pressing lightly.
Cool until hardened.
Makes 3 1/2 to 4 dozen if doubled.
