Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. suet
    1 egg
    1 sq. butter
    1/4 c. hot water
    5 to 7 apples, peeled and sliced
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
    Cut in egg until crumbly.
    Melt butter and add 1/4 cup hot water.
    Put apples in a baking dish.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon.
    Cover apples with flour mixture.
    Spoon butter mixture over until flour is dampened.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until crust is golden brown and crispy.
    Serve with ice cream.
