English Muffin Loaves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 to 6 c. flour
    2 pkg. active dry yeast
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. water
    cornmeal
Preparation
    Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and baking soda. Heat liquids until very warm (120\u00b0 to 130\u00b0).
    Add dry mixture; beat well.
    Stir in enough flour to make a stiff batter.
    Spoon into 2 loaf pans (8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch) that have been greased and cornmealed.
    Sprinkle tops with cornmeal; cover.
    Let rise in warm place for 45 minutes.
    Remove from pan immediately and cool.
