Cinnamon Pomanders - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. powdered cinnamon
    1 to 1 1/2 c. smooth applesauce
    2 Tbsp. oil
Preparation
    Spray vegetable oil on mold or cookie cutter.
    Mix cinnamon, 1 cup applesauce and oil.
    Knead in more applesauce if needed, a little at a time, until mixture is very stiff \"clay.\"
    (It should not be sticky.)
    For mold, spray lightly (remove any excess with paper towel).
    Dust cinnamon into mold and onto fingers and press a piece of \"clay\" into mold.
    Even out back of clay, then tap mold against cutting board or hand.
    Peel out clay; place on cookie sheet, then trim any rough edges with sharp knife.
    If a hole is needed, use a small straw to cut it.
    Bake 1 hour (until firm), then another hour on wire rack.
    Drying needs to be slow to prevent cracking.
    For cookie cutter, roll out and cut as you would cookies.
