Scripture Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    2 Tbsp. honey
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    pinch of salt
    2 c. chopped figs
    2 c. chopped almonds
    2 c. sugar
    6 beaten egg yolks
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 c. milk
    2 c. raisins
    6 egg whites
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar and honey. Add beaten egg yolks. Sift flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves and salt. Add alternately with milk, flour and creamed ingredients. Stir in figs, raisins and almonds. Fold in 6 stiff beaten egg whites. Bake in well greased tube pan at 300\u00b0 for 2 hours.
