Ingredients

3 or 4 Vidalia or Bermuda onions
1 c. milk
2 eggs
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
1 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation

Heat deep fat to 380\u00b0.
Slice onions; separate into rings. Put remaining ingredients in blender; whip until smooth.
Dip onion rings into batter; drip excess from rings and drop into hot fat.
Fry until golden brown.
Drain on brown paper.
