Bean And Bacon Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. navy beans
    1 qt. water
    4 slices bacon, diced
    1 onion, chopped
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. potatoes, diced
    1 c. celery, diced
    1 (1 lb.) can stewed tomatoes
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. milk
Preparation
    Combine beans and water in large kettle; bring to boil and cook 2 minutes.
    Remove from heat and let stand 1 hour.
    Saute bacon and onion until lightly browned.
    Add with fat to beans and simmer 1 hour.
    Add next 5 ingredients and simmer another 30 minutes.
    Gradually add milk to flour, then add to soup.
    Bring to gentle boil.
