Cookie Jar Gingersnaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. molasses
1 Tbsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
3/4 c. shortening
1 egg (unbeaten)
Preparation

Measure flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
Sift twice onto wax paper and return to sifter.
Cream shortening until soft.
Add sugar gradually, creaming after each addition until mixture is well blended.
Beat in egg and molasses.
Sift dry ingredients over creamed mixture; blend well.
