Shiny Top Cobbler - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. fresh or frozen unsweetened fruit (blueberries, blackberries, sour cherries or peaches)
1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
3 c. sugar, divided
1/3 c. oleo, softened
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. boiling water
2 c. flour
1 c. milk
1 tsp. salt, divided
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation

Spread fruit in well-greased 2 1/2-quart shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice; set aside.
In medium bowl, stir flour, 1 1/2 cups sugar, the milk, butter, baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt until well blended (batter will be thick).
Spoon over fruit. Spread to edges of baking dish; set aside.
