Cherry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can tart, red, pitted cherries
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. Almond extract
    1/2 tsp. red food coloring
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in sauce pan and bring to a boil.
    Take 2 heaping Tbsp. corn starch, mix with a little water and stir into cherry mixture to thicken filling.
    Place in pie crust and make lattice strips to go on top of pie.
    Bake 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until nice and brown.
