Funnel Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    2 c. milk
    oil (to fry cakes in)
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Beat eggs until thick and lemon colored. Add milk and vanilla, then beat in dry ingredients until batter is fairly smooth.
    Run batter into hot oil, using a slow wide circular motion and maintaining as steady a stream as possible.
    Fry, turning once, until golden brown, about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes on each side.
    Dust generously with powdered sugar.
    Serve warm.
    Makes 16 large cakes.
