Strawberry Topping For Angel Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small pkg. strawberry jello (regular or sugar-free)
    1 c. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. sugar (optional)
    pinch of salt
    1 pkg. frozen sliced strawberries
    1 baked angel food cake
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over jello and stir until dissolved.
    Stir in sugar and salt, then add strawberries and mix well.
    Refrigerate until jelled enough to spread.
    Cut cake into two layers.
    Spread one-half of jello mixture on bottom layer and cover with Cool Whip. Place top layer of cake on this.
    Spread remaining jello and cover with Cool Whip.
    Also spread Cool Whip around sides of cake. Refrigerate before cutting.
