Rich Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
4 tsp. double-acting baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2/3 c. milk
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder, salt, cream of tartar and sugar into mixing bowl.
Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add milk and stir with fork until soft dough forms.
Turn out on lightly floured board and cut with a glass.
Make dough thick.
Bake on ungreased baking sheet in hot oven at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until done.
