Washington Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. vegetable oil
2 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
4 c. peeled apples, sliced thin
cream cheese frosting (optional)
Preparation

In large bowl, beat eggs at high speed until thick and fluffy. In separate bowl, combine sugar and oil.
Beat into eggs.
Sift together flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt.
Add to egg mixture, along with vanilla.
Stir in nuts.
Spread apples in a buttered 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Pour batter over apples.
Spread to cover apples.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
