7 Layer Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 to 3/4 head lettuce, broken up
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    8 slices fried bacon, crumbled
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, cooked and cooled
    2 c. mayonnaise with 2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Make layers.
    Spread mayonnaise on top and sprinkle bacon on top.
    Add cheese, if desired.
    Refrigerate 12 to 24 hours.
