Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 qt. green tomatoes (after chopped)
    2 qt. onions (after chopped)
    2 qt. sweet peppers (after chopped; can make it 1 qt. red pepper and 1 qt. sweet pepper)
    1 qt. cabbage (after chopped)
    salt
    8 c. white sugar
    10 c. vinegar
    3 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Sprinkle a handful of salt over tomatoes, onions, peppers and cabbage and let it set overnight.
    Drain well and add to the following mixture:
