Never Fail Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    6 Tbsp. white sugar
    9 marshmallows
    1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
    6 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. cream
Preparation
    Mix butter, brown and white sugar and cream.
    Bring to a boil and cook rapidly for 2 minutes.
    Remove from heat; add marshmallows.
    When they have melted, add vanilla and sifted confectioners sugar.
    Stir until thick enough to spread over layers of cake.
