Sweet-Sour Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    small head red cabbage
    2 apples (optional)
Preparation
    In skillet, combine butter, sugar, vinegar, water and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring.
    Add cabbage; cover and cook for at least 10 minutes.
    Add apples, if desired.
    Cook another 10 minutes.
    Yields 6 to 8 servings.
    Keeps well under refrigeration.
