Raisin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box seedless raisins
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. shortening and butter, mixed
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. boiling water
    2 tsp. soda
    1/4 c. flour
Preparation
    Combine raisins, brown sugar, shortening and butter, cinnamon and boiling water and bring to a boil.
    Let cool.
    Stir in soda sifted with flour.
    Stir in enough flour to make cake batter.
    Pour into two 9-inch round cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
