Old South Cucumber Lime Pickles(Fast And Easy Pickles, Good Too) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. cucumbers, sliced crosswise
    2 c. Mrs. Wages pickling lime
    2 gal. water
    8 c. white vinegar (4 to 6% acidity)
    8 c. sugar (may add extra sugar if like pickles real sweet)
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 tsp. mixed pickling spice
    1 c. cider vinegar
    1 Tbsp. alum
    1 small bottle red food coloring
    2 c. vinegar
    12 c. sugar
    3 cinnamon sticks
    1 c. red cinnamon candies
Preparation
    Heat.
    While
    syrup
    is
    hot, pour over cucumbers.
    Let set overnight covered.\tThe next day, drain syrup.
    Reheat and pour again
    over cucumbers, keeping lid on real tight to keep heat in.
