Franklin Pecan Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. real butter
6 eggs
8 oz. candied pineapple
8 oz. candied cherries
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 qt. pecans (measure before breaking)
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sugar
4 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Cream the sugar and butter. Add beaten eggs.
Mix 3 cups flour, salt and baking powder together and add to batter.
Dice the fruit, chop nuts and mix with the other cup of flour. Add to batter with vanilla. Cook in greased and floured tube pan at 250\u00b0 for 3 hours or until done.
Do not use mixer.
