Corned Beef And Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. corned beef brisket
    water
    1 small onion, sliced
    1/4 c. packed brown sugar
    1 bay leaf
    1 garlic clove
    1/2 tsp. black peppercorns
    1 medium head cabbage
    4 to 5 potatoes
    1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
Preparation
    Place beef
    in\tlarge
    Dutch oven.
    Add enough water to cover meat.
    Add onion,
    sugar,
    bay
    leaf, garlic and peppercorns. Bring to boil over high heat.
    Reduce heat and simmer, covered. Cut cabbage into 8 wedges.
