Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. boiling water
2 eggs
2 c. milk
2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 stick butter
1/4 c. milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Melt butter; add milk and vanilla.
Mix in sugar and beat with electric mixer until smooth.
Frost cake when completely cooled.
