Hawaiian Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. vanilla wafer crumbs or a graham cracker crust
    2 cans condensed milk
    1 c. lemon juice
    1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
    1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
    1 stick margarine or butter, melted
    4 sliced bananas
    1 small jar cherries (red or green)
    1 (8 to 9 oz.) container Cool Whip
    1 pkg. cream cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Let Cool Whip soften.
    Combine lemon juice and milk, then set aside.
    Combine crumbs and margarine to form crust.
    Pour the filling into the crust and spread evenly.
    Arrange bananas.
    Top with the following:
    pineapple, Cool Whip, coconut, nuts and cherries.
    Use a 13 x 9-inch dish and set overnight.
