Baked Savory Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 split chicken breasts or 1 cut up chicken
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/4 c. parsley (fresh or dried)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 can cream of celery soup with 1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. sliced almonds
Preparation
    Wash chicken parts and cut away excess fat and skin.
    Place in a large Pyrex baking dish, as bottom layer.
    Combine all remaining ingredients except almonds and cover all the chicken with this sauce.
    Bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    In the last 15 minutes, sprinkle on the sliced almonds.
    Add 1/4 cup bread crumbs, if desired. Return all to oven for 15 minutes more, until light brown.
