Chocolate Covered Cherries - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. softened butter/margarine
    2 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
    1 Tbsp. milk
    2 (10 oz. each) jars maraschino cherries, well drained (with stems)
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    2 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Mix sugar with softened butter and milk to make a batter. Roll out flat to about 1/8-inch thickness (more or less).
    Add milk and/or sugar to make it easy to work with.
    Wrap each cherry with a circle of \"dough.\"
    Place on cookie sheet covered with waxed paper.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Melt chocolate pieces with shortening.
    Dip each cherry into hot chocolate mixture.
    Place on waxed paper.
    Refrigerate until firm and enjoy!
