Olive Wills' Pumpkin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. pumpkin or squash, either cooked or canned
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream shortening; beat in sugar gradually.
    Stir in eggs and pumpkin.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Pour into a well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 55 minutes to 1 hour.
    Test with tester before removing from oven. Cool before slicing.
