Creamy Corn And Vegetable Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can golden kernel corn
    1 pkg. frozen broccoli, carrots
    1/2 c. milk
    1 pkg. (2 c.) Cheddar cheese
    1 pt. or 1 (16 oz.) can sliced or diced beets
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Drain beets, reserving 1/3 cup liquid.
    Combine sugar, cornstarch and 1/8 teaspoon salt.
    Stir in reserved beet liquid, vinegar and butter.
    Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 1 or 2 minutes more.
    Stir in beets.
    Cook and stir about 5 minutes more or until beets are heated through.
