Aunt Laura'S Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    4 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Mix cocoa in the flour.
    Cream sugar and Crisco, salt and vanilla; add eggs and beat well.
    Add soda to buttermilk and alternate with flour and cocoa; mix well.
    Pour into 2 lined round cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 35 minutes until it tests done. Cool before icing.
