Apricot Tea Ring - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cake compressed yeast or 1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. lukewarm water
3/4 c. scalded milk
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
3 to 3 1/2 c. sifted enriched flour
1 egg, beaten
1 c. Quaker or Mother's Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
1 12 oz. pkg. dried apricots
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
Preparation

Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally until thickened, about 25 minutes.
Cool.
