Fancy Garden Blend - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. thin sliced cucumbers
    6 medium peppers, sliced
    1/3 c. salt
    4 large carrots, sliced thin
    3 large onions, sliced
    1 head cauliflower
    2 tsp. mustard seed
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    5 c. sugar
    3 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Cover the first 6 ingredients in a large plastic container with ice water. Stir occasionally. When all ice is melted, drain. Place in large pot on stove.
    Mix together the remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil and pour over vegetable mixture. Bring back to a boil and continue simmering as you fill jars.
    Put tops on and seal. Makes 6 to 8 pints.
