Applesauce Carrot Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. ground allspice
1 c. applesauce (100% natural)
1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. grated carrots
1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and spices in large mixer bowl.
Add applesauce and butter; beat 2 minutes at medium speed, scraping bowl and beaters occasionally.
Add eggs; beat 2 minutes.
Stir in carrots and nuts.
Pour into greased and floured 9-inch square pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes, until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean.
Cool.
Frost with Cherry Apple Frosting.
