Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add other ingredients.
Shape with hands into 2 rolls, 2-inches in diameter, adding a little flour if necessary.
Place in wax paper in refrigerator until firm.
Can be frozen.
When ready to bake, slice thin and bake in greased pan in quick oven, 375\u00b0.
Makes 4 dozen.
