Santa'S Whiskers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
    1 c. flaked coconut
    1 c. finely chopped red or green candied cherries
Preparation
    Beat butter for 35 seconds; add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add milk and vanilla; beat well.
    Stir in flour, then cherries and pecans.
    Shape into 3 (7-inch) rolls.
    Roll dough into coconut to coat outside.
    Wrap in wax paper or clear plastic wrap; chill thoroughly.
    Cut into 1/4-inch slices.
    Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 minutes or until edges are golden.
    Makes 80.
