Lean Refried Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 tsp. vegetable oil
1/3 c. finely chopped onion
1 tsp. minced garlic
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/4 c. warm water
1/8 tsp. ground red pepper
1 (15 oz.) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
2 tsp. fresh lemon or lime juice
Preparation

Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat.
Add onion and cook until translucent, 3 minutes.
Stir in garlic, cumin and red pepper.
Cook 30 seconds.
Add beans and cook 1 minute more, mashing beans with spoon.
Stir in water; cook until water is absorbed.
Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.
Makes 4 servings.
